Occupation | Came to Nkana in Northern Rhodesiathe area in 1927, just out of McGill, at the behest of “Doc” Bancroft, one of his professors who had been working in the Copperbelt during his summers. Left Nkana at the end of 1932 and, following several years back in Canada, returned to Africa for two years in the mines at Springs, Transvaal, RSA. He continued his geological work in Canada and served in the RCAF during the war. After the war, he grew apples in Dunham, Quebec, Canada for 17 years until his retirement. |
