| The Löwensteyn (Löwensteijn - Lowensteyn - Loewensteijn) Family is originally from Germany. Two brothers settled during the early 1700's in The Netherlands and one of them is the ancestor of this family. During the second half of the 20th Century some members emigrated from The Netherlands to Canada and New Zealand.
